Squaring my shoulders, tightening my tie,
I leap off into the day. Making arrangements
to become, to be, thw light shining squarely,
the morning already done. I control my attitude,
my perspective leaps forward and I become, I am,
I will be,

Is it attitude only that decides? Jack seems to think so as well.

We are all in control of what we are.

Act as if you are the person you want to be and you will be it.

I don't know how that works: maybe it has to do with modifying other's perception of me. If I become something in their eyes, I become that thing. Perception IS reality. Or maybe it's my perception. My perception shapes what I will be. That sounds a little more plausible and less metaphysical.

I am what I will be:
A take-charge, seven habits, actuallizing mo-fo: That's who I am.
