the connections are slow at times
freewheeling into new beginnings
perhaps a false shadow feathery at the edges?
the mistaken beliefs and partitioned spaces
after some time away re-counting
our accomplishments against the current
sweeping over the sides in bright light
and bone closeness the crowds swell
and quicken and dance and break away
until the back-stall into sleep
with nothing to remember
