Coffe Pot

another broken coffee pot and the whole machine is thrown away on the great pile of machines that grows every spring and every winter.
at some time in the future, a larger machine, will take all the piles of all the coffeepots and toasters, the obsolete computers and and aquarium motors, the billions of batteries and the endless supply of solar calculators, and begin to digest them, not stopping to divide the plastic from the heavy metals, a whole loaf of conglomerate is extruded in a tube which we will use to build our houses which will look like storage units do now, with a roll-up, armored front door to keep the gangs from invading at night.
the children will get sick for a while but will eventually grow stronger with a yellowish sheen and livers twice the size that we have now. we will live by growing small mushrooms under our beds and potted herbs on our roofs and will kill our fatted cats for the winter festival which we will share with other families through small cameras attached to the tops of our ears and large screens that will cover every surface giving the illusion that we are living our lives.
