Magic and Loss

Thinking of a thousand ways
to say what wasn't said
though so much was spoken,
so much left unsaid.

So much to claim and remove
but can never be taken away,
taken and removed yet
brought out into the day.

Brought out and proclaimed
but better left alone
at the end of the day,
cutting too close to the bone.

There is confusion now
from all that has been said,
what was left unsaid,
laying in your bed.

The words revealed more,
revealed and hid and left behind, too.
Left behind now, what was left unsaid
That I never said that I loved you.
