I picked up my shoes today:
after working for the usual eleven
and putting up with the whining
about change, the direction, the schedule
the work that hasn't been done for so long
by everybody else and now where are we
and how did we get there the constant
pull of money and time, space and reality.
I watched and learned and lost my cool.
I wrote letters and made calls.
I negotiated and capitulated.
I was distraught and took a walk.
And now I have my new shoes.
You should get some too.
