Phoenix serial

Serial shooters (maybe two)
and a rapest to boot
in my neighborhood this summer

but the cruisers are parked
in the bunker downtown
their officers taking calls

rather than getting out
to see what 110 degrees looks
like or finding that we are still

out here waiting
for the police
to arrive
