A nation that initiates war to secure a strategic resource necessary for its survival in a world of increasingly limited resources is not doing anything better or worse than strong nations have done throughout history. There has obviously been a recognition by the leaders of this country that there is indeed a rapidly dwindling supply of oil available at the same time that the world economy is increasing its demand (despite their protestations that there is no problem with the oil supply). The President and his staff have done their jobs in recognizing this.
However, to initiate a war in which many thousands have died and NOT to have initiated government sanctions/credits to reduce the demand for oil by this country is an impeachable offense. This apart from the general impeachable offenses related to securing the peace in Iraq and, by extension, the entire middle-east.
